great project, idea and style! just some typos:
homepage: “user *che* share”
take a tour: “user *che* share”, “is necessary to *feel* three”
here the “leave a comment interface” is in italian “Lascia una risposta”.
my only serious question: will this really run on Aruba hosting? : O
anyway, great project! : )
regards

If an event starts and ends on the same day (a one day event), it would probably be much clearer to write ‘Event date: 08 May 2006′ rather than the currently present ‘Event date: from “08 May 2006″ to “08 May 2006″‘ by using a simple date comparison and conditional display.

Operating System: WINDOWS XP
Browser: Safari 3 beta
Javascript: Yes
Description:
on event date I don’t see the “previous” button, I see only the “next” button.

In Seamonkey WinXP (without flash), the photo upload isn’t available, but it is unclear if I might need flash or just JavaScript (which is active), since no error message is displayed. It just reverts to my home page if I click on the “Submit Files” button. No other buttons (like the Upload File and Cancel Uploads buttons that I see fine in IE7) are visible.

Thanks Old Jacques. We know this problem and it will fix in the next release inserting an alternative HTML uploader.
Thanks again.

Hi Jacques,
we’ll check the algorithm to analyze the problem.
Thanks!

Some not-public pictures seem to have popped into the Random section, something I believe is a no-no, even if you only see a tiny piece. Either that, or they may have been deleted just after I clicked Explore. Two examples on one Explore are http://www.pix-yu.com/pht/Videl/jxjjemw6xd7r.jpg and http://www.pix-yu.com/pht/Videl/jxjjemw6xd7r.jpg which you might check to see if they were private or deleted.

by ADMIN: We prefer to see PRIVATE photos, because I will entice the user to register an account if he/she wants to see the photo. We have changed the page for permission denied. Try to see http://www.pix-yu.com/pht/Videl/mwt21thzokyr.JPG

“Or eliminate the private pics completely.” obviously meaning eliminate their inclusion in public random thumbnail viewing… not eliminate the private function.

by ADMIN: FIXED ( thx
2) the timestamp for the blog posts is appearing an hour later than my local time (it is now 7:30PM for example) and what I presume is the Server time (being hosted by Aruba, I am guessing the hosting is physically in Italy).

Another question: on “Upload your photos” there is a drop-down selevt control that only has one element: the current event’s current item. It seems like it should hold all the items of the current event, or a list with sublists of my Events, each with the sub-items, so that I can pick.
Otherwise there is no reason other to remind me what path I have followed.
But it would be more convenient, when dividing an actual event into pieces, to be able to pick (considering that I might not be following a strictly chronological path). And it really makes no sense to pick from 1 of 1 choices anyway…

One more thing, since I’m playing around with this stuff this evening: it would seem more logical to add an “anti-exit-by-mistake” message (with JavaScript, I would imagine?) to the upload page, to avoid that someone (a bit distracted like me) leaves the upload page to go someplace else while everything loads without realizing that I am leaving THE Upload Page and that little “Image With Screwed Up Format” logo would then appear in place of any queued uploads. Or else have a way to check server-side the “supposedly completed” uploads to see if they actually reached completion.
Right now it is too easy to have a queue of uploads pending and then with one lapse think to go check the gmail and Oooops, there it goes again…

Dates for events don’t seem to accept anything with a 4digit year (that resets the date to 00/00/0000) or any date before 1/Jan/2000 (so much for putting up family or memory pics from before then) or after 19/Jan/2038 (less of a problem for now, but still a bug I think, since if I put up a section for my Dad’s high school pics I need to insert “4Xs” [1940s]).

OMG Jacques !!! You are our personal BUGMAN hehehe
In any case, we’ve answered you about some things.
Thanks again

by ADMIN: We prefer to show to user the thumbnails. If this user wants to see in original size the image, he needs to contact the author in private. In any case in the thumb we are almost unable to see anything.

I can’t get my Flickr settings to do anything that I can tell. Does it only work with Flickr Pro accounts?
Does it take time from when you set it to see something?
What should I see?
Which “username” or “Nickname” do I need to insert? The one I use for login (which is my YahooID)? the one which appears in my profile page (Old Jacques)? the one which appears in the URL as my permanent address (old_jacques)? the numberthingy that originally identified the set?

Operating System: WINDOWS XP SP2
Browser: Seamonkey 1.1.6
Javascript: Yes
Description: “This photo has been viewed: 1 times.” even on the parsley-photo http://www.pix-yu.com/pht/gizax/286a6ypcr0uf.JPG that is still showing up time and time again, if not more than once on a screen at least now (at least that I’ve noticed), and which I know I’ve seen more than once since I used it as a test for the “repeat-thumbnails”.
